Gulf Station.- nooks Day out.
Published 1 year, 5 months ago in My life.Well at the instigation of the shadowmaster, a few Nooksters met on saturday arvo at the gulf station in Yarra Glen,which is an old farm complete with farm house, out house, bath house, sheds, more sheds…..school house and a shearing shed. I packed a picnic, and asked a friend who was at a loose end, to come for a drive. Top Day ! Educational, scenic, and stress relieving. My friend flawed me, when she had no idea what a furphy was. Or a coolgardie safe ( hey guys I’m really not that old, um, I guess I just loved Australian history) Hadn’t seen a draught horse since the milky used to come, so that was a lovely sight to see, and I learnt that it is called wall eye when the horses eye is pale blue in colour.
We mosied on over to meet the nooksters. And played with a few ideas for the NOOKS exhbition. If, everyone on the nook contributes, it would be a good thing. It is quite casual- no hard and fast rules. Things dont have to be framed, and it can be art work, or prose, or whatever….Maybe a topiery bush, that youve sculptered. But I for one, would urge some of you to come out of your comfort zones ( I did) and help put this thing together.We discussed the idea that we would exhibit under our nook persona. Trev is saying yes to pretty much anything that is suggested. With the leader allowing us the use of hanging space at their blackburn office. If people wanted to stay anonymous, work could be delivered there a week prior. ( Date is to be put to a nook vote) So it has the possibility of being something special to be a part of. Anybody
interested??………hhmm, someone posted beautiful looking cup cakes somewhere on the nook, we could have some of those on a pedestal !!!

sorry I could’nt be there, I wanted to but had to work, am interested in the exhibition idea.
we will be there as we wish to show our photos based around our tour company all set in the gippsland area and of mostley landscapes
well………….3 is promising………….c’mon guys…..I mean nookers.

Sorry shadow, I haven’t checked back in here at more posts. Seven sounds promising, but not for me, surely…..for the nook. I’m not familiar with Yul bryner now we are 7? I only know AAMilne, now we are six.
Sadly my spare time is zilch. So we may all have to email.
